The Founders of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. recognized the importance of the intellect in all matters pertaining to the advancement of humankind. As such, they made Scholarship the foremost of the Fraternity's four Cardinal Principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift.
Scholarship is no side issue - it is an integral and deep-rooted component of this organization. Every member, Chapter, and District of the Fraternity is dedicated to Scholarship. Thus, the Scholarship Committee was formed to give recognition to future leaders of society and to foster scholastic achievement in the Fraternity.
Funding for all scholarship and grants is provided each year through a generous donation by the Bridge Builder Charity Foundation, Inc. (http://www.BBCFInc.org)
The Bridge Builder Charity Foundation, Inc. invests in the educational goals of scholars on their path to a four-year college or university, community service initiatives, and charitable causes. BBCF awards scholarships to student applicants entering college or continuing their academic programs. Students must meet both academic and community service requirements. Scholarships will be available beginning November 2018.

International High School Essay Competition
The Mu Mu Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated will be awarding monetary scholarships to a graduating High School senior who resides in Harris and Montgomery counties. The winning candidate will then be forwarded to Omega Psi Phi’s International Headquarters for consideration of additional scholarship awards ranging from $500.00 to $3,000. This scholarship will recognize the student’s writing ability.
